Emica and Nereid
Emica. Swimming throughout vast brain, drowning in his thoughts now alpha was after hearing of his favored bitch having the dreaded "P" status. Of course, any pups of theirs would be crowned royalty, but really now wasn't the time to have the but anyway his was cool with the first part; just not looking after the little bundles. Cia being albino could falter with genes and everything and they'd have 'ill' children, but there Emi was; always worrying. No matter what was going on within twisted brain, his stance was always brick-wall stature: throw happenings at it and nothing punctures it, not even a crease of the forehead, so his stance at the moment was its normal dominant and solid way. Laying across the entrance to the enclave in order to protect it from invaders or possible threats to what lie within; digits flexing as he doodled random objects in the thick snow that obscured the grassy terrain. He sighed; not much had been going on and it'd been awhile since he had a visitor or anything, so he was fairly quiet. Rolling onto his back, tail twitching in irritation as the snow rubbed roughly against his fur, he sighed longingly, just wanting something to do. But nothing caught his attention quite yet.
Nereid took the time to search about the pack's land, curious as to what she might find or what mind indeed find her. With winter at a peak, hunting was a bit off, despite the fact she had the stealth of a angry bear her dark coat was well noticeable. However that didn't get her down, nothing often did with this optomistic bitch. There wasn't much to do 'round these parts so often she made there be something or another. Whether or not it became a problem depended on everyone but her, she found quite pride in it really. Paws crunched through the frost and hare danced back against her chest, causing the red ooze to spread through her fur. Muzzle was dipped and paws were glazed, just one big bloody party. Despite the kill not being swift the little fuzzy bastard was dead, and that was the only thing that mattered. Sauntering back toward the den with a skip in her step, she rounded the cave and flopped to the ground. "Hey there Mr. Em. How're things?"
EmicaEars twitched atop crown, detecting the faint pawsteps that were only wolven to claim; either that or bear by the thundering of it. Paws dangled in the air for a few seconds while he attempted to make out the scent of the creatures, whatever it was, and with the slight breeze that blew by wafted the stench right through nasal passages; his juggernaut who reeked of death. Shoving weight to his side, he rolled back over, facing the vast wonderland spread out before him and spotted Nere almost instantly, bloodied and looking as if she just brought hell upon another; just what she was supposed to appear as. Hung limp between mandibles was a rabbit; quick little rascals, though for one as Nere's size he guessed she could've swatted at it once and would have killed it. He smirked at her colorations that brought attention to her; a bright red bloth on a white cloth coincidentally. Now he understood why hunting for bigger game could prove to be a challenge to the bitch. As she waltzed right over towards him, plopping herself down a warming smile warped visage in a welcoming look since she had been out for awhile. "Morning, Nere. How are you this morning?" He wasn't the greatest with words, but it'd have to do for now until something interesting occured.
Nereid tossing the limp snack just a bit ahead of her, tongue lolled out and clean what she could. Snort emitted through nasals after a moment or so. Who cares anyway, only blood not like it honestly mattered unless some sort of begger was blundering about. Indeed the fea was fairly large for her size, for who knows what reason but she could match a male well for most. Ivory ears twitched in Em's direction before her ligaments stretched forward, and her body relaxed up. "Pretty dandy now that I've eaten." Yuh she was a pain in the ass when she didn't eat, though oddly enough her stomach was more like an abyss. Just keep eating until you somewhat feel full, eat some more and for some reason her sortakida agile frame was kept in check. "How bout yourself? You look bout ready to watch the blades of grass die in a summers day." Translation, he looked bored. Nere was odd and not from anywhere close to here. She was different but not horribly, the warm heated days and cool water year round.
Emica. Observing invisible objects upon the horizon, alpha grinned in a cheshire manner as Nere just tossed the kill aside; slaughter just to kill was her policy, meh? Or so it seemed anyways, though what she spoke of she had had her fair share. Cerulean depths shifted from watching nothing to dancing over at Nere as she asked about him then made the correct assumption of his boredom, and he snorted in responce. Was he really that easy to read, or was Nere just a mind-reader? Straightening up, and throwing a glance at Nere as he whipped his skull around to pretend to be occupied again, he shrugged, fangs digging into bottom lip and feeling blood oozing from it; thick crimson substance that satisfied him in the least. Oh, what he would give to be able to romp around like a little chitlet again, but no, he had to choose the life of major responsibility. "You could say so. How are you liking the snow on a 'cove'?"
Nereid chuckled some at the responce, she assumed that the assuption she made was indeed correct. Face reading often came in handy and it was something she was proud of. Course any idiot could read average signs of the norm, but she was no idiot nor cared much for normal creatures. Dropping to her side she fanned out over the snow, shivering somewhat before resettling. "Eh well....the bloody snow..isn't exactly my favorite but so far it's pretty swell." Batting at the iced over grass she watch em shake for a short moment before the snow fell off, only to fall to the ground and blend in with the rest. Huffing she watched her breath float into the cold twinged air before it rose and then vanished. "Not fond off the ice either..." And that was because during her last kill, she slipped head over hills into a mound.
Emica. Labrums twisted masochistically as the blood trickled down the front of his muzzle, oral appendage snaking through his jaws to lap the savory substance up. Even though it was his own blood, taking a taste of it wasn't necessarily cannibalism because he was just doing his duty of cleaning himself up and attempting to look presentable. Ears slicked back at the smug look upon juggernaut's face, frown replacing the sinister smirk upon lovely features. He, however, did not think it was normal but strangely had grown accustomed to it, he had a firmer grip on it than Nere at least. "Definately not what you expect.. almost as weird as hell freezing over, eh?"
Nereid nodding in reply she flexed her toes out while head came forward and picked the grit from between them. "Hell freezing over indeed...." It was good to at least have a small amount of bulk on to keep her warm considering her scrawny thin pelt did diddly shit round here. But with hope it'd grow out more in the coming winters. Her body was doing fairly well for long periods of time in the snow and cold, more so then her first arrival where half an hour made her feel like her body parts were slowly starting to fall off.
